A long drive to Birr but another victory for the U15’s saw them keep their perfect 2023 record. It was a slow start by both teams but a great try by Oscar Dowdall saw Seapoint take the lead after 10 minutes. He duly followed up with a conversion. We traded scores with Ravens (a fine try from James O’Toole) and went in at half time 7 points up. Unfortunately we lost our captain Reif Casserley in that first half too after he sustained an injury. We started the 2nd half strongly with a great try from Louis Walker and again traded tries with Ravens (Oscar again). Ravens then lost two players and we had to reduce our numbers to 13 to match them. This opened up the game and Ravens scored three unanswered tries to go 3 points ahead with a few minutes remaining. However, Seapoint were not finished and Louis got his second try with 3 minutes remaining to put us up by two. We held out for the remainder and drove home happy with a 2 point win. Great team performance especially given we were missing quite a few players.
