How to renew or register as a member

Seapoint Rugby Club uses the IRFU player membership system, allowing our members to both register as players and pay their subscriptions at the same time.

The content below provides all the information you need to either register as a club member, or to renew an existing membership.

Registering and renewing your Seapoint membership

Completing the membership process with an existing account.

  • Login to your account using this link.
  • Click the ‘Register / Renew Button’.
  • Click the ‘Add / Renew Button’.
  • Enter ‘1’ beside the Membership Category you wish to pay for and hit the continue button.
  • There is a lot of information that is required. Please complete this form as accurately as possible.
  • Click the Register button on the end of the form.
  • Review the purchase summary and if all is correct, please pay using your card details in the boxes provided.
  • Click the ‘Make Payment’ button to finalise your payment.
  • You will get an email confirming the success of your registration.

Completing the membership process without an existing account

  • All Seapoint membership categories can be accessed from this link.
  • Select the appropriate category of membership.
  • Create an account (OR login to your existing account if you have already created one).
  • Note that when you create an account, you will receive an email from the system to confirm the accuracy of the email address. Please confirm when you get this email.
  • Confirm that a ‘1’ is entered beside the Membership Category you wish to pay for and hit the continue button.
  • There is a lot of information that is required. Please complete this form as accurately as possible.
  • Please note the requirement for new members to upload proof of age using one of the methods provided. 
  • Click the Register button on the end of the form.
  • Review the purchase summary and if all is correct, please pay using your card details in the boxes provided.
  • Click the ‘Make Payment’ button to finalise your payment.
  • You will get an email confirming the success of your registration.

The following membership categories are available for purchase on the IRFU site.

Adult Playing Membership

This is for adults who are:

  • Over 18 years of age on or before the 31st of December of the calendar year prior to the membership year who are not in full time education.
    OR
  • Over 23 years of age on or before the 31st of December of the calendar year prior to the membership year.
  • Intending to play with any of the senior level Seapoint teams during the season.

Dragons Adult Playing Membership

This is for adults who are:

  • Over 18 years of age on or before the 31st of December of the calendar year prior to the membership year.
  • Intending to play with the Seapoint Dragons team during the season.

Adult Non-Playing Membership

This is for adults who are:

  • Over 18 years of age on or before the 31st of December of the calendar year prior to the membership year who are not in full time education.
  • Over 23 years of age on or before the 31st of December of the calendar year prior to the membership year.
  • Not intending to play with any of the senior level Seapoint teams during the season.

Adult Non-Playing Membership 70+

This is for adults who are:

  • Over 70 years of age on or before the 31st of May prior to the start of the current season

Student Membership

This is for adults who are:

  • Over 18 years of age and under 23 years of age on or before the 31st of December of the calendar year prior to the membership year who are in full time education.
  • Intending to play with any of the senior level Seapoint teams during the season.

Youth Membership

This is for youths who are:

  • Over 12 years of age and under 18 years of age on or before the 31st of December of the calendar year prior to the membership year.
  • Intending to play with any of the Seapoint youth teams during the season.

Mini Membership

This is for children who are:

  • Under 12 years of age on or before the 31st of December of the calendar year prior to the membership year.
  • Intending to play with any of the Seapoint mini teams during the season.

Dragons Mini/Youth Membership

This is for children and youths who are:

  • Under 18 years of age on or before the 31st of December of the calendar year prior to the membership year.
  • Intending to play with the Seapoint Dragons team during the season.

Family Membership

This is for members from the same family unit and covers:

  • Up to two adult members as defined previously with up to one Adult Playing Member
  • Up to four members of the same family unit who qualify for the Mini, Youth or Student memberships as defined previously.

Due to current restrictions with the IRFU online registration system, it is necessary to precisely define the packages to cover the specific type of family membership types. To avoid a requirement to define a very large number of family membership packages, we require that two adults be registered as part of any family membership. We appreciate that some households have just one adult, in which case we would ask you to complete the membership with a grandparent, aunt, uncle or other adult relative of the family.

So please consider:

  1. The number of Mini Memberships to be registered.
  2. The number of Youth Memberships to be registered.

Please then select the membership package that exactly reflects your needs. For example:

  • For 2 mini players, please select “Family Membership - 2 Adults 2 Minis”.
  • For 2 mini players and 1 youth player, please select “Family Membership - 2 Adults 2 Minis 1 Youth”.
  • For 1 mini player and 1 youth player, please select “Family Membership - 2 Adults 1 Mini 1 Youth”.
  • ….and so on

Due to the number of possible combinations, we have tried to define packages to reflect what will be required based on existing experience.

We expect most members will wish to pay monthly, so a standing order can be set up to facilitate this.

  1. Take the membership fee you wish to pay and divide it by 12 to get the monthly payment to the club.
  2. When setting up the standing order, please calculate the first payment based on the month in which it will be paid:
    1. Seapoint membership runs from July to June each year.
    2. If you are starting to pay in July, please just set the initial payment up to be the monthly charge.
    3. For each month after that, the initial payment must be multiplied by the number of months after July. If starting in August, multiply the monthly payment by 2 to get the initial payment. If starting in September, multiply the monthly payment by 3 to get the initial payment and so on.
    4. For example:
      1. For an Adult membership starting in September:
      2. The monthly payment will be €16.67 (€200/12) per month.
      3. The initial payment will be €50 (€16.67 * 3).
        ii. For a family membership starting in August:
      4. The monthly payment will be €20.83 (€250/12) per month.
      5. The initial payment will be €41.67 (€20.83 * 2).
    5. When the membership fee is changed at the AGM, you will be asked to change the monthly payment to reflect the new total membership fee.
    6. Please instruct your bank to set up the new standing order on your account to the credit of:

  1. When the standing order has been setup and for each subsequent year you are paying the standing order, please contact membership@seapointrugbyclub.com who will send you a discount code to enable you to complete the online membership process at no extra cost.
